The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the international and European missions are an essential partner for the success of the democratic process in Iraq.
The media office of the First Deputy stated in a statement that Al-Nour News received a copy of it, that "Al-Zamili received the head of the European Union Election Observation Mission, Viola von Kramon, and Akna Klifskiti, the charge d'affaires of the mission in Iraq, and the delegation accompanying them," noting that "during the meeting, a copy was presented to them." From the final report of the electoral monitoring carried out by the mission on the recent parliamentary elections in Iraq, which includes 23 recommendations.
The statement added that "Al-Zamili considered the European and UN missions a key partner for the success of the democratic and electoral process in the country," calling for "strengthening the bonds of joint work with them and benefiting from the recommendations mentioned in the report, especially those related to parliamentary and electoral reforms."
Al-Zamili expressed, according to the statement, his keenness to continue holding seminars and dialogue sessions with the missions to reach more accurate and discreet legislation.
