The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan revealed, on Wednesday, the nature of the relationship it currently has with the Democratic Party.
The leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghiath Surji, confirmed in an exclusive interview with Mawazine News Agency that the political estrangement with the Kurdistan Democratic Party is still continuing.
Al-Sorji added, "We hope to restore the door of dialogue between the two parties, and that our doors are open to any political understanding or consensus with the Democratic Party and all other political blocs."
Al-Sorji added that today is the last day for candidates to be presented for the presidency, and that the Kurdistan Democratic Party has presented Reber Ahmed as his candidate for the position.
It is noteworthy that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is still insisting that the presidency of the republic is from its share in the federal government, and that Barham Salih is its only candidate. Ended 29/R77
