The Industrial Research and Development Authority of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, through the Renewable Energy and Environment Research Center, participated in the Geo-Basra Conference under the slogan (Our resources are the source of our national economy) in the presence and participation of a number of Iraqi university professors and a number of specialists and those interested in the science of remote sensitivity.
The aforementioned center participated within the axis of remote sensing and spatial data systems in the tagged study (remote sensing and natural resources), which was delivered by Eng. Because of the techniques and accurate data it provides, as well as a number of important information about the applications of remote sensitivity science were discussed.
The conference also dealt with the study of classifying natural resources in terms of their renewal into renewable and non-renewable resources with vital and non-vital resources. It also addressed methods for analyzing the most important problems and obstacles faced by natural resources in the field of agriculture, such as salinity in the soil, health of vegetation cover, erosion processes, and others, and ways to address them using techniques. Remote sensing using satellite visuals in the field of natural resources and the environment, as the satellite captures high-resolution color images, which results in forecasting crop conditions and monitoring natural disasters because it is equipped with advanced radar equipment.
