The Security Media Cell announced the launch of the fifth phase of Operation Solid Will in Diyala Governorate.
The cell said in a statement that the continuous cooperation and coordination between the units and types of the security services had high positive results in pursuing the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command and according to accurate intelligence information and through continuous meetings and meetings between the federal forces and the Peshmerga forces, the fifth phase of Operation Will was launched. solid.
The cell added that units of the Diyala Operations Command, the controlling headquarters of Khurmatu operations, and the command of the (first, second and third) axes of the Peshmerga forces, participated in this operation with air support from the Air Force and Army aviation.
The cell added that this operation aims to search the joint operations area between the units of the federal forces and the Kurdistan Region within the sector of the Diyala Operations Command and the controlling headquarters of the Tuz Khurmatu operations, and to search and clear unoccupied areas, villages and separating borders in areas of common interest to pursue the remnants of terrorist elements and those wanted by the judiciary, drying up the sources of terrorism and ensuring security and stability in those areas.
