    The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced the achievement of advanced rates of achievement in the e-governance file.

    The secretariat said in a statement that Nass received a copy of it (August 20, 2022), "The e-governance file has received great attention from the Iraqi government, because of its positive returns in the process of completing important files, and to keep pace with the technological development witnessed by the world."  
      
    She added, "The Committee for the Management and Coordination of Government Activity towards E-Governance, headed by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, has achieved advanced steps and percentages of achievement."  
      
    The committee completed the first phase of the electronic document management program, which is to link all ministries with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers through the (secured government network) that allows ministries to exchange documents among themselves electronically, which contributed to the speedy completion of important government files, and reducing manipulation and forgery operations. With documents, in addition to the main task of accelerating the pace of work of ministries and communication between them and citizens, according to the statement.  
      
    The statement continued, "The committee also started implementing the electronic collection system in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq, and automating the customs and tax link in the work of the Border Ports Authority, with a self-effort and under direct supervision by the head of the Border Ports Authority, where the program contributed to reducing administrative and financial corruption operations, Facilitating the entry and exit of goods, eliminating the phenomenon of forging certificates of origin and import licenses and changing the gender of materials, as well as generating double financial revenues to the state treasury.  
      
    And between, "The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has formed the National Data Center Department, which will provide private spaces to host data and sites affiliated with official institutions, and provide a suitable environment for accessing electronic services available to citizens. The department also launched the Ur electronic portal, which aims to create information and services facilitating the procedures followed in completing transactions, raising public awareness of government programs and events, and enhancing the strategic objectives of the transition to an efficient electronic reality by providing more transparent and effective services, as the portal currently provides more than (100) government e-services to all citizens. distributed to all institutions and sectors.  
      
    The followed steps included the direct cancellation of the promotion of paper-issued health transactions of documents, respectively, and the adoption of the electronic system for secured documents, which was completed by the National Data Center Department. As well as the launch in four universities to verify university certificates without the need to promote the treatment of chest health, in addition to the tax departments and unions for services provided to citizens, the Institution of Political Prisoners, the Iraqi Accountants and Auditors Syndicate, and the branches of real estate registration and taxes in the governorates of Basra, Anbar and Salah al-Din. He also worked in the Ministry of Interior - Directorate of Criminal Evidence regarding non-conviction documents, according to the statement.  
      
    The statement added, "With regard to the procedures that the National Data Center Department is currently working on, conducting a complete survey of all state institutions, collecting data related to information technology, and preparing for building a national cloud service system, which will represent a qualitative leap in providing applications and infrastructure for government institutions." In addition to working on launching the Ur-e-application with the best modern technologies, which will provide various services to citizens.”  
      
    The statement concluded, "The Committee for the Management and Coordination of Government Activity towards E-Governance will not stop to this extent, and the staff of the National Data Center Department continues and is exerting maximum efforts in coordination with all official institutions, by establishing electronic programs, successively, in order to simplify government procedures for services provided to citizens, until Achieving comprehensive digital transformation, which requires continuous effort during the next stage.
