The first in 17 years.. "Breach of trust" report before the Iraqi judiciary
Shafaq News/ Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar announced, on Tuesday, submitting a report to the government on "betrayal of trust", which he said was the first in 17 years.
Abdul-Jabbar added in a press conference held with the Minister of Culture and Cabinet Spokesman Hassan Nazim, and followed by Shafak News Agency, that "the report on disclosure of breach of trust included 400 pages and was sent to the judiciary," explaining that "the report submitted by the government regarding breach of trust is the first 17 years ago."
He continued, "The Director General of Taxes and other staff were exempted, against the background of the tax trusts issue." He pointed out that "the report on the issue of tax trust accounts was sent to the judiciary."
For his part, Cabinet Spokesman Hassan Nazim said, "The current government is the one that exposed the major corruption case in the tax department," noting that "the judiciary has begun investigations into the trust accounts case, and we will wait for the results of the investigation."
He stressed that "the major issue of corruption in the tax authority is currently in the custody of the judiciary." With regard to the Food Security Law, Nazim said, "The sums allocated to the Prime Minister's Office have not been disbursed at all and will be transferred to the next government," noting that "these amounts relate to compensation for the martyrs and the wounded."
He continued, "The amount was not allocated to the furniture of the Prime Minister's office, but rather compensation for the martyrs and the wounded and support for the Iraqi borders."
