    Today, Wednesday, National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji stressed the importance of studying the draft science service law according to the national security vision.

    A statement by the National Security Adviser stated, "Al-Araji chaired a workshop entitled (The Science Service Law according to the Iraqi National Security Vision), which was held at the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies of the chancellery, with the participation of the security services, academic bodies, research centers, civil ministries and the private sector, and a representative of Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee.

    Al-Araji stressed the importance of conducting extensive discussions by the concerned authorities and specialists, as well as involving public opinion by conducting opinion polls, as well as studying the draft law according to the Iraqi national security vision, from various aspects.

    He stressed "the importance of studying the extent of the need for the law and the expected numbers of inclusion in it, the requirements of training and accommodation centers and the required financial allocations, in addition to studying the extent of its impact on the workforce and the societal aspect."

    The workshop witnessed extensive discussions of the Science Service Law, by specialists and stakeholders, as the participants agreed on the need for an extensive study of the subject and its impact on Iraqi national security.

    The workshop concluded with a recommendation to hold other workshops, in order to come up with recommendations that enhance Iraqi national security.
