    Shafaq News / Representatives of smart companies - applications operating in Iraq - met with representatives of the Communications and Media Authority, with the follow-up of the Chairman of the Authority. The meeting included an explanation by the Authority of the draft regulatory regulations for smart applications.
    Representatives of smart companies expressed, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, their full readiness to “help those in charge of this file come up with a regulatory regulation that encourages the growth of the sector, is in the interest of protecting innovation and fair competition, and encourages Iraqi youth to be creative, in addition to protecting the user and providing contemporary and innovative digital solutions.” ".
    The statement added, "There is a real opportunity to create thousands of additional job opportunities in the economy and to support the digital transformation initiative and vision launched by the Iraqi Council of Ministers, represented by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani."
    He explained, "This opportunity stems from cooperation between the Communications and Media Commission, the private sector, and creative and innovative youth, and begins with facilitating the entry of university graduates into the sector, protecting the local product, and attracting foreign investments to this sector."
    In turn, representatives of smart companies affirmed their aspiration to “come up together with a regulatory regulation that is similar in content to similar regulations regionally and globally, that will attract local and foreign investment and help build an advanced technical system led by young people to contribute to addressing the unemployment crisis and providing a variety of technical services to meet the ambitions of our Iraqi people.” .
    It is noteworthy that among the participating companies are (Careem, Miswak, Fad Shi, Sinbad, and other Iraqi companies).
