    Today, Friday, the Ministry of Commerce confirmed the directive of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani to find an electronic ration card system that would overcome previous problems, and while pointing out that there is a government tendency to complete the printing of the electronic card quickly to circulate it in all governorates through a new vision, it confirmed that the work of the Vocabulary Improvement Committee will be done with ( 3) Steps and directions.
    Ministry spokesman Muhammad Hanoun said: "The first meeting of the Ministry of Commerce in the new government discussed the file of the electronic ration card, and some observations were diagnosed on its program, which had previously dealt with the World Food Program."
    He added, "The ministry is trying to overcome the time and complications with the World Food Program through a new vision based on accelerating the implementation of the electronic card through a program that will be approved very soon," noting that "
    Regarding the work of the committee to improve the vocabulary of the ration card, Hanoun explained that "the committee, which was formed in light of the directives of the prime minister and the membership of his office and the advanced staff in the Ministry of Commerce, will deal with the issue through 3 steps: improving the quality of materials, adding new vocabulary, and achieving regularity in distribution through which the citizen knows the timings in advance. ".
    Hanoun explained that "the ration card program relied on the food basket with (7) items, and there is a tendency to achieve a qualitative development, and the government's approach today is working on a new mechanism to support the ration card, add new quantities, achieve regularity in processing, and direct it to those who deserve social care and families below the poverty line."
    Earlier, Trade Minister Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy confirmed today, Friday, the formation of a higher committee to improve the ration card materials, in implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani and the government's directives.
    Last Friday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani directed improving the quality of ration card materials and adhering to distribution dates.
