The General Company for Air Navigation Services, one of the formations of the Ministry of Transport, confirmed, on Monday, that the Iraqi airspace is currently witnessing a momentum of movement from all international airlines.
The company's general manager, Ali Mohsen Hashim, said, "The company manages and regulates the safety and smoothness of air traffic operating in Iraqi airspace for all civil and military aircraft and all air operations divisions represented in the air control center, the approach unit, and air control towers in all Iraqi airports and air bases, and support from Departments of Aviation Communications, Flight Information, Quality, Safety and Training".
Hashem added, "The work is taking place in accordance with the contexts, procedures, and instructions of the International Civil Aviation Organization and other organizations concerned with the aviation sector."
He pointed out that "Iraqi airspace is currently witnessing a momentum of air traffic from all international airlines as a result of the navigational services and facilities provided by all air operations centers, for the safety, continuity and smooth movement of aircraft of all kinds in Iraqi airspace."
