Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of Total Energies, said on Wednesday that the company is continuing talks with Baghdad on a series of major energy projects in Iraq worth $27 billion.
Total (EPA: TTEF) agreed in 2021 to establish four oil, gas and renewable energy projects with initial investments of $10 billion in southern Iraq over 25 years.
However, these projects witnessed several setbacks amid disagreements between Iraqi politicians regarding their provisions.
