The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, received, this morning, Saturday, at his residence, the US Secretary of State, Mr. Anthony Blinken, on the sidelines of his participation in the 59th Munich Security Conference.
The meeting witnessed discussions on the files of bilateral relations, and ways to enhance and develop them at various levels and fields, in a way that enhances Iraq's ability to face economic challenges and development requirements.
Mr. Al-Sudani affirmed that Iraq gives special priority to economic reforms, the government's focus on developing the energy sector, and the establishment of development and investment partnerships in the gas sector.
His Excellency also made clear Iraq's desire to consolidate cooperation with the United States to combat terrorism, within the framework of providing training, advice and information exchange for the Iraqi security forces, in a way that preserves Iraq's sovereignty and independence, stressing that the government puts the goal of establishing balanced relations at the forefront, in addition to the importance of the Iraqi role in stabilizing stability. in the region.
