Shafaq News/ The First Deputy of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Mortada Al-Saadi confirmed, on Tuesday, that the majority of Parliament members welcome the Cabinet’s decision to evaluate the performance of general managers, indicating that the step, although its implementation was delayed in previous governments, is good and is counted within the government program in administrative reform. in the ministries.

And the Iraqi Council of Ministers decided, earlier today, Tuesday, to transfer the originally appointed general managers, who did not obtain a positive evaluation, to a lower degree than the one he occupied before his appointment as general manager.

A government source told Shafaq News agency, "57 general directors will be affected by expected changes in the ministries of labor and housing, electricity, the Municipality of Baghdad, and the Financial Supervision Bureau."
The source added that "30 of these directors are originally in their positions, and 27 are working in their positions by proxy."
And he added, "This is the first batch of changes, and other batches will follow, which will be voted on for dismissal in the coming days."

Al-Saadi told Shafaq News agency, "The majority of Parliament supports the Prime Minister's step in evaluating the performance of general managers and supports it, given that the general directors were voted on within the special grades in the House of Representatives and the Council of Ministers. It is a process of re-evaluation and changing of many grades that are administered by proxy in the ministries." ".

He explained, "The decision does not concern one ministry to the exclusion of another, but it is comprehensive for all ministries, and there was a committee formed since the beginning of the formation of the government to evaluate governors, special grades, undersecretaries of ministries, and others, and today the evaluation came to the general managers, some of whom worked with honesty, integrity and high transparency, and another section is indicated on it." Failures, mismanagement and mismanagement.

Al-Saadi added, "Therefore, this step comes to address what can be addressed from the failures that occurred by them within the ministries in which they work, as well as to retain and reward general managers who have performed well, based on the evaluation of the committee assigned by the Council of Ministers."

The office of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, had said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, chaired, on Tuesday, the eighteenth regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which developments in the general situation in the country were discussed, and the most important service and security files were discussed. In addition to discussing the topics on the agenda and issuing decisions and recommendations in this regard.

And as a commitment by the government to apply the vocabulary of administrative reform within the priorities of work, the Council of Ministers approved the recommendations of the minutes of the fourth meeting of the Diwani Order Committee (23059) concerned with evaluating general managers (originality), which includes transferring the originally appointed general managers who did not obtain a positive evaluation, to the level of Lower than the grade he held prior to his appointment as Director General, according to Legislative Decree (880 of 1988).

In this regard, the Prime Minister directed that the replacements for the general directors, who failed in the evaluation, be among the staff working within the ministry, and stressed that the ministries have many competencies and experiences capable of managing and qualified to assume responsibilities.
