Political analyst Ghazi Faisal stressed, today, Wednesday, the importance of the visit of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the capital, Baghdad, scheduled for Thursday.
Faisal told (Baghdad Today) that "the visit of the Emir of Qatar at this time is of great importance to the issue of supporting Iraq through economy and investment, due to the economic power that Doha possesses, not only at the level of the Gulf and the region, but also on the world in general."
And that "the visit will be an important key for Iraq to strengthen its international economic relations with Qatar, which will play an important role in the issue of helping Iraq in many important investment projects, especially those related to gas and energy, and for this, the visit of the Emir of Qatar will be important to support Iraq during the next stage."
The government spokesman on behalf of Al-Awadi announced earlier today that the Emir of Qatar will arrive in Baghdad tomorrow, Thursday," noting that "the visit has important political and economic dimensions."
An informed source stated that: "The Emir of Qatar will meet during the visit the three presidencies, in addition to a number of Iraqi political leaders," noting that "the visit will discuss the file of the trade and investment sector, security cooperation, and other files related to bilateral relations and regional issues."
