The financial advisor to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the development funds that the government intends to launch will eliminate widespread unemployment in Iraqi society and turn the wheel of the economy around.
And Salih said in a press interview, followed by the insider, that: "The Iraqi economy needs a unified development policy, especially after the specialized banks in Iraq (agricultural, industrial, housing fund) lost their identity and turned into public banks," explaining that "development funds came to replace these Banks and contribute to spinning the wheel of the Iraqi economy.
And he indicated that: "Development funds target two things, the first is to support small activities, and the second is to provide job opportunities for the unemployed and eliminate unemployment," pointing out that "unemployment in Iraq, 20 years ago, has not decreased from 10%, as it now exceeds 16%."
And he indicated that: "These funds will contribute to financing very important emerging projects that contribute to supporting the local industry to reduce imports and diversify other economic activities."
