    Najaf Governor Majid Al-Waeli pledged that the establishment of the new city of peace will address the housing crisis in the province, which will provide 120,000 serviced housing units with international specifications.  
    Al-Waeli explained in an interview with the official newspaper, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the new city of peace, which has an area of ​​​​38 thousand dunums, and will include 120 thousand housing units, and will contain various types of services and infrastructure such as water, sewage, electricity, schools and health centers," stressing "the need for solid international companies to be implemented to standard specifications.   
    Al-Waeli stated that "the previous administrations of the governorate planned to distribute residential lands and investment opportunities in this area, but the current cabinet directed to establish new integrated cities to solve the housing crisis that most of the governorates suffer from," revealing that "the procedures for transferring ownership from the Ministries of Finance and Agriculture began, then declaring municipal boundaries The new city so that government departments can end their belongings in the area.  
    Regarding the reasons for the delay in these procedures, he explained that "the State Real Estate Department does not have sufficient legal and administrative powers, which requires referring to the General Directorate and the Ministry for every action step, and therefore there is a delay," noting that "there is follow-up from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Construction and Housing to complete all procedures as quickly as possible." Available time".  
    The governor of Najaf noted that "the local government has responded to all requests of the State Real Estate Department, and has also formed committees from the competent departments to address mechanisms for transferring ownership to the municipality of the new city of peace," stressing that "the establishment of this city will address the housing crisis in the province, by providing 120 thousand A serviced residential unit with international specifications.
