Yesterday, Friday, the Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, revealed the start of rehabilitating 8 hospitals in Baghdad and establishing 100 health centers in the provinces, explaining the departments and specializations of Al-Hakim Hospital in Maysan.
Al-Hasnawi told “INA”: “Al-Hakim Hospital has a capacity of 492 beds, consisting of 400 beds for inpatients and 92 beds for complementary services, which are cardiac care, respiratory care, dialysis, emergency, recovery wards, and maternity wards,” noting that “the hospital is equipped with 17 advanced operating halls and multiple units of All specialties, including burn units, medical rehabilitation, a psychological unit, dialysis, and a cardiac unit with very advanced care for preterm infants, and various diagnostic devices, whether in the consulting clinic or inside the hospital, in addition to a doctors’ house with a capacity of 140 rooms with all services and a consulting clinic
integrated".
He added, "The hospital was lagging behind for many reasons, but the governmental program of the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani is to expedite the completion of lagging projects, solve all problems and facilitate obstacles," noting that "during the government period, Al-Sayyab Hospital was opened in Basra and Al-Shaheed Hospital." He explained, "There are two hospitals with a capacity of 100 beds, the first in Al-Majar district and the second in Ali Al-Sharqi, in addition to a project for a hospital with a capacity of 50 beds within the development of the regions," explaining that "there is a project to build a psychological and social rehabilitation center for drug victims in Maysan."
And he stated, "The budget allocates large sums for the first time to purchase medicines for the governorate, medical supplies, laboratory services, and support for cancer centers," pointing out that "the Prime Minister directed to increase support for cancer centers in Maysan."
Al-Hasnawi pointed out that "there is a project to fully rehabilitate Al-Sadr Hospital from the ministry's budget," explaining that "the current government has prioritized health projects in all governorates."
