Economic affairs researcher Muhammad Al-Saadi pledged, on Sunday, to reducing unemployment rates to large levels by launching new residential city projects, pointing out that such projects can attract thousands of unemployed people to work in various fields.

Al-Saadi told Al-Maalouma, "The initiation of projects to build new residential cities requires thousands of construction workers, engineers, plumbers and electricians, as well as other specializations and works to complete projects that may require years of work to complete."
He added, "The government can launch an initiative through which the unemployed can be contained and placed in new city projects for construction and reconstruction, as well as the possibility of establishing income-generating projects within these cities after their full completion, by granting the unemployed shops in their markets."
And he indicated that "Iraq is on the verge of dozens of projects in the field of housing as well as roads, as well as industrial projects that will accompany the establishment of the development road, so that Iraq will be a corridor and a factory for many commodities destined for Europe." ended 25 n
