Shafaq News / US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, announced on Sunday military aid to Israel, which is waging a war against the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, while confirming the move of Gerald Ford to the eastern Mediterranean.
Austin confirmed in press statements, “The United States will urgently provide Israel with additional equipment and resources, including ammunition, starting today and arriving in the next few days.”
The US Secretary of Defense directed the immediate movement of the Gerald Ford Carrier Strike Group to the eastern Mediterranean, without revealing the nature of this move.
Earlier today, American media reported that the US military is planning to move ships and aircraft near Israel, as an expression of support for it.
Earlier today, the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, confirmed the presence of American citizens among the prisoners in Gaza, but he did not provide details about them, nor about the Americans who were killed.
