A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee discussed several important topics with the Minister of Finance in the federal government and sought to address the problems.
The representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, Dr. Nermin Marouf, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, said: Today we met with Mrs. Taif Sami, Minister of Finance in the Federal Government, and we discussed together the problem of financial allocations for operational contract employees in the Independent High Electoral Commission, whose contracts were included in the Federal Budget Law for the year 2023. She
added We also discussed during the meeting the issue of returning the security guards of the North Oil Company based on Article 66 of the General Budget Law, whose contracts were cancelled, and as the Minister of Finance confirmed, they are awaiting the Ministry of Oil’s response to determine the number of guards who have the right to return.
Dr. Nermin Maarouf indicated that the meeting discussed the problem of graduates of medical and health departments in the universities of the Kurdistan Region and residents of the disputed areas for the year 2020-2021, and the Minister of Finance confirmed that the appointment of these graduates will be based on the request and needs of the Ministry of Health in accordance with their specializations.
