Despite the differences in their positions, Russia and China on the one hand and the United States of America on the other hand have what unites them in one category of influence represented by the right of veto that prevents any decision that could be issued by the UN Security Council, which includes the victorious countries in World War II, and does not meet their interests. We have become accustomed to the fact that a draft resolution submitted by Russia or China can be vetoed by Washington, and what Washington submits can be vetoed by Russia, and no decision is issued except after understandings, negotiations and consultations between their ambassadors in the Council.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with the ambassadors of the three countries in the Security Council: Russia, China and the United States. The focus of those meetings was the Zionist aggression on Gaza and southern Lebanon, the crimes committed by the Zionists, the war of extermination waged by the entity against civilians and innocents, its destruction of infrastructure, and its sabotage of aspects of life there with all arrogance, tyranny and disregard for human values, principles and international laws.
The so-called Israel appears to be outside the scope of the law and charters, and everything issued by the United Nations, the Security Council, and international organizations concerned with the interests of nations and peoples. It is above every law and principle. Perhaps the reason for this is the Western world’s alignment with it, and its indifference to all those crimes, and even its provision of money, weapons, technology, and legal support in confronting the weak, and its giving the green light to Netanyahu, and those criminals who preceded him, over the course of decades to practice whatever crimes, aggression, and instincts he desires, without limits and without parallel whatsoever.
The Prime Minister called on the three major countries to take firm positions befitting the level of presence and influence they have enjoyed historically to prevent the Zionist entity from continuing its aggression, especially China and Russia, which are responsible for carrying out duties different from those required of Washington, which is a partner of the killer and supports him. Therefore, Russia and China must be more present and firm in meeting the requirements of the current stage, which is witnessing an unprecedented conflict with Washington, on more than one front, especially since what is happening in Lebanon, Gaza, Ukraine and near Taiwan targets the interests of these two countries.
Al-Sudani also put these countries before their major responsibilities in supporting Iraq's political and economic stability, and investing in the good relations that bring Baghdad together with the capitals of these countries to achieve the requirements of the next stage in light of the major international challenges.
