MP Aref Al-Hamami confirmed, on Thursday, that Iraq submitted 3 messages at the International Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva.
Al-Hamami said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "Iraq's position in supporting the Palestinian cause is firm and constant and has not wavered despite all the pressures. It supports the Lebanese people who are being subjected to genocide crimes by the occupying entity."
He added, "The withdrawal of the Iraqi delegation from the 146th session of the International Parliaments in Geneva at the beginning of the speech of the representative of the Zionist entity represents three important messages: affirming its historical position on the Palestinian issue, supporting the Lebanese people, and condemning the crimes of genocide that civilians are being subjected to every moment with the ongoing displacement campaigns and the destruction of cities and service infrastructure."
He pointed out that "what is happening in Palestine and Lebanon is a stain on the foreheads of countries that claim democracy and human rights, but remain silent in the face of the fall of more than 130,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, and thousands of martyrs and wounded from Lebanon."
It is noteworthy that the acting Speaker of the House of Representatives and members of the delegation withdrew from the International Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva at the beginning of the speech of the representative of the Zionist entity. End 25 F
