Coordination Framework leader Issam Al-Kriti confirmed, on Wednesday, that the US ambassador failed to create a Western veto on parliament’s laws.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Kriti said in an interview, “The American ambassador is constantly interfering in an attempt to thwart the parliament’s efforts to legislate a series of important laws on all levels, especially laws that concern building the family and strengthening its capacity according to paths that take into consideration the Islamic religion.”[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out that "the ambassador failed to create a Western veto on many laws enacted by Parliament, stressing that the pressures exerted by the American ambassador and Western countries will not dissuade Parliament from proceeding with the legislation of the Personal Status Amendment Law."[/size]
[size=45]He added that these laws stem from the community's beliefs and will help solve many social problems, such as the phenomenon of divorce, stressing that "America or any other country cannot impose its opinion on a parliament that represents all segments of the Iraqi people."[/size]
