Today, Monday (November 13, 2023), the chief scholar of the Iraqi Jurisprudence Academy , Ahmed Hassan Al-Taha, discussed with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani the reality of endowments and other issues.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office received by “Baghdad Today” stated, “During the meeting, efforts to sustain and strengthen social peace, support the discourse of moderation and unity, and the importance of rationalizing religious discourse to remain away from extremism and sectarianism were reviewed, in light of the great challenges the region is witnessing.”
Sheikh Al-Taha stressed, according to the statement, “the necessity of preserving and maintaining Muslim endowments in a way that achieves the purpose of their endowment, and nurturing religious institutions to perform their legitimate and national duties, in a way that contributes to the stability and prosperity of the country.”
The statement added, "The meeting also discussed the importance of concerted Arab and Islamic efforts to support the Palestinian people and their just cause, in light of the crimes and siege they are subjected to by the Zionist occupation authorities."
