    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Political analyst Rafid Al-Atwani confirmed today, Sunday (November 19, 2023), that the positions of the Sadrist movement in government institutions are being subjected to what he called bulldozing, while noting that more than sixty positions have been excluded so far.
Al-Atwani told "Baghdad Today", "Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani did not give any position to the Sadrists. Rather, their positions were subjected to a process of being bulldozed, and there are more than sixty positions at the level of agents and general directors belonging to the Sadrist movement. They were excluded and distributed to the forces of the coordination framework," pointing out that “The intention is to eliminate the remaining positions, especially in light of the presence of two governors affiliated with the Sadrist movement.”
He added, "The attempt to eliminate all positions of the Sadrist movement in state institutions is being adopted by most of the framework forces, especially since the latter has many personalities searching for positions."
Al-Atwani also pointed out that “the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, views the new election law as contradicting the opinion of the authority and does not achieve social justice in distributing voters’ votes fairly,” adding, “The classical forces accused of corruption are trying through the law to continue their dominance.”

    Sudanese blocks the road
The Council of Ministers headed by Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced on Tuesday (November 1, 2022) the cancellation of all customs and ministerial decisions and orders issued by the caretaker government headed by former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, which was described as political exclusion taking place under a legal cover .
The decision included the dismissal of about 169 senior officials, including the governors of Najaf and Dhi Qar, the heads of the National Intelligence and Security Service, and other security leaders, directors, agents, and advisors in all ministries and government departments, a large portion of whom are affiliated with the Sadrist movement.
“This measure is not part of a policy of targeting or excluding certain parties or political accounts. Rather, it comes in implementation of the law and in response to the decision of the Federal Supreme Court No. (121/Federal/909/2022) dated May 17, 2022,” Al-Sudani said in a press conference held following the session. Eliminate those positions.
    "stab in the back"
Despite the doubts surrounding this procedure, experts in legal affairs see the decision to cancel the administrative orders issued by Al-Kadhimi’s government regarding the appointment of special grades in the stage of managing daily affairs by the current Council of Ministers, as a “correct procedure,” since the cancellation was made in the same way of appointment .
But political analysts disagree with this by describing the decision as an administrative and political coup par excellence, and a “stab in the back for Al-Kadhimi’s government, and in retaliation against him and his cabinet . ”
