Trade: Prices have been raised in the food basket and 3 new items will be included in it next year

{Economic: Al-Furat News} The Ministry of Commerce reported that it was able to curb the attempts of some weak-minded people to raise the prices of goods and foodstuffs, noting its “intention to add cheese and adult milk to the ration items.”
The Ministry’s spokesman, Muthanna Al-Fariji, stated in a press statement that “trade has begun accelerating the distribution of the penultimate food basket for this year, to limit the exploitation of merchants,” noting that “there is one food basket that will be distributed at the end of 2023 and it will be of the same quality and ingredients.”
Al-Fariji added, “The Ministry had previously announced a proposal to add new items to the food basket, including zero-fat flour, cheese, and adult milk,” hinting at “the possibility of implementing the proposal next year after studying and approving it.”
He pointed out that "thanks to the commitment to pay the financial allocations to which the Ministry is entitled, we were able to organize the food basket," praising "the government's support and commitment to organizing ration items for citizens."
