    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, on Monday, referred strategic projects for wastewater and rain water in Baghdad, stressing the rejection of any attempt at blackmail or bargaining that the companies implementing the projects may be exposed to.
    The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by Al-Maalomah, that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani made a visit to Baghdad Governorate, to supervise the referral of strategic sanitation projects in the areas of Abu Ghraib, Al-Nahrawan, Saba Al-Bour, and Al-Wahda district, in addition to following up on the implementation of a number of projects.” Service, urban and infrastructure projects.
    The Prime Minister pointed out "the importance of sanitation projects, as they are linked to the environmental and health reality of residential areas, and hinder the completion of the rest of the service and infrastructure projects," stressing "continuing to adopt the goal of providing services."
    He added, "The sums for these projects have been secured, and the implementing companies have been selected after submitting to the criteria of comparison, efficiency, ability to implement, and financial potential. Also, work on the projects will be completely within three meals a day."
    He stressed, "rejecting any attempt at blackmail or bargaining that the companies implementing the projects may be exposed to, directing the security and executive agencies to fully confront such attempts, in addition to directing the Baghdad Operations Command to form teams to accompany the implementing companies, in order to provide effort and social services."
    During the visit, Al-Sudani supervised “the referral of 4 strategic projects for wastewater and rainwater to implementation companies from the private sector, as the capacity of the first project in (Abu Ghraib) district is 41 thousand cubic meters/day, with a total length of network extensions of 370 km, including 9 treatment plants, and the second project is in the Nahrawan district, with a capacity of 67.5 thousand cubic meters/day, and lengths of extensions totaling 175 km, including 3 treatment stations. As for the third project, it will be implemented in the Sabaa al-Bour district, with a capacity of 44.8 thousand cubic meters/day, and lengths of 286. km, including 3 treatment plants, while the fourth project is located in the Al-Wahda district, with a capacity of 48 thousand cubic meters / day, and lengths of 151 km, including 5 treatment plants.
    He directed, "to contract with a consultant for the purposes of follow-up, audit, and provide solutions, as well as to form an operations room with entities whose work conflicts with the implementation of these projects."
    During the visit, he reviewed “the Baghdad security camera system, the measures taken to develop it, the future vision and the electronic services that were recently activated,” directing “to cover all areas of Baghdad with smart cameras, specifically the pivotal areas.” Ended/25
