    Economy News - Baghdad
Today, Tuesday, the Iraq Fund for Development signed a credit loan contract with the International Finance Corporation and the Turkish Teriyaki Company to establish a soybean crushing plant in the port of Umm Qasr, in the presence of the Fund Director and the Turkish Ambassador.
The fund's director, Muhammad al-Najjar, said, "The signing comes within a series of Arab and foreign investments to enter Iraq."
He added, "This investment is essential and vital for Iraq, because it is concerned with the Iraqi food chain," noting that "it will have a significant impact on the entry of other Turkish companies."
He stressed that "this step is the first of its kind, and will be followed by many other steps in the near future in the fields of agriculture, industry and real estate development."
