The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs called on the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to allocate lands and industrial areas used by job seekers in the private sector as industrial complexes to implement their projects. Undersecretary of the Ministry Alaa Al-Sakini told Al-Sabah: The Ministry is facing a problem with the lack of industrial zones designated for job seekers and those wishing to establish their own projects, because the industrial zones that currently exist are in the middle of residential neighborhoods and are unorganized and their rents are high and exaggerated for young people, so we issued an invitation. Through the Industrial Coordination Council of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, it is necessary to allocate industrial lands used by job seekers in the private sector as industrial complexes, and to facilitate the necessary procedures to acquire these lands for their occupants of workers in order to provide decent job opportunities for those who have the skill and competence in managing industrial projects to reduce migration. Exporting Iraqi labor force abroad, preserving cash liquidity, reducing the import of materials required in the labor market, and thus reviving the national economy. He added that there are serious steps taken by the Ministry to activate the provisions of the Industrial Services Law and work to implement the executive procedures of the Industrial Coordination Council, as an expanded meeting was held to discuss the Council’s procedures and activate the law by allocating lands and transforming industrial slums in the city of Baghdad into model industrial areas in order for the capital to appear as Ajmal is in conjunction with the urban development campaign implemented by the government, which contributes to providing a suitable work environment for workers.
