Baghdad
(newsletter).Examined the General Authority for free zones of the
Ministry of finance with a delegation from the United Nations Industrial
Development Organization to establish industrial zones in Iraq to
promote investment opportunities in the country.
The body said in
a statement received (News Agency) a copy of it: a delegation from the
United Nations visited the free areas and discussed with officials of
privileges and free zone incentives for industrial projects and the laws
and regulations of the Commission and its work plan for the next phase.
The
body expressed its readiness to cooperate with the United Nations to
open the prospects for joint investment by establishing industrial zones
in Iraq and organizing industrial action and provide the necessary
means to promote it in order to support the local economy.
Iraq
sees big drop in industry as a result of the consumption of imported
goods and domestic production dominated by commodity dumping in the
market after various goods and global origins./finished/./n
