On Saturday, the House of Representatives held its first session of the third legislative year, dedicated to electing the new Speaker of Parliament.
The Parliament’s Media Department stated in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, that “First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened the work of Session No. (1) of the first legislative term, the third legislative year, and the fifth electoral session, Saturday, December 13, 2024.”
The media department explained that "the number of attendees reached 260 deputies."
Earlier today, the Council postponed the session for half an hour because a quorum was not achieved. Ended / 25 hours
