The representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Suzanne Mansour, called on the Kurdistan Regional Government to abolish the residency requirement for citizens of the central and southern governorates.
Mansour said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “It is assumed that citizens from all governorates will enter the region without residency.”
She added, "Baghdad places question marks over the number of employees in the region, and there must be an inventory in preparation to resolve the crisis, while the regional government is partially committed to the federal budget law."
She pointed out that "the region's oil export file is very thorny and is one of the points of disagreement between Al-Parti and Al-Ekti, and Baghdad must amend the budget items to end the differences."
