    Russian Deputy Energy Minister Sergei Mochalnikov met with Iraqi Ambassador to Moscow Qahtan Taha Khalaf, today, Sunday.

    The two parties discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them to serve the interests of both countries. The possibility of preparing for holding meetings of the tenth session of the joint Iraqi-Russian committee was also discussed.

    The two parties also discussed the issue of naming the chairmanship of the subcommittees related to the work of the committee.
    The meeting also touched on the work of Russian oil companies in Iraq and the quest to find solutions to the obstacles facing their work.

    On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Lukoil and Gazprom oil companies, and the Iraqi embassy advisor, Ali Abdul Karim Atiwi.
