The Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, announced today, Wednesday, that the smart transformation project will include 15 areas with a 24-hour processing capacity, while setting the date for its launch.
Fadel told the official agency, followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the Ministry of Electricity organized an exhibition with the participation of 180 companies, including the largest international companies, namely GE and Siemens,” noting that “the exhibition is qualitative, and targeted the Iraqi private sector by supporting its products and presenting new opportunities to create partnerships.” For industrial production lines in relation to the needs of the Ministry of Electricity.
He added, "We presented a group of investment opportunities, as well as conducting dialogues with companies for the purpose of opening the way for greater participation in developing the electricity sector."
He pointed out that "the Ministry is working to implement the government program to increase production and solve bottlenecks in transportation and distribution networks," pointing to "the launch of the electronic application to pay lists with electronic payment cards."
He continued, "It is hoped that during the next month the smart transformation project will be launched, which includes 15 residential areas with an average of 50,000 subscribers," noting that "the project works to provide 24-hour processing hours."
