Al-Janabi added, "These plans are integrated into ten aspects that were shared by General Electric with the Iraqi government to achieve energy security and reduce the footprint and carbon intensity of the energy unit produced in Iraq to the lowest possible intensity."
He continued, "The plan developed by General Electric to reduce carbon emissions and the carbon intensity of the electric power unit produced in Iraq, includes ten aspects, including what can be implemented today very quickly, for example, benefiting from mobile units to produce electric power in burned associated gas sites, which can be implemented." To be implemented within months, as well as the projects that the Ministry is undertaking by converting units from a simple cycle to a complex cycle, including adding highly efficient production capacities.”
He stressed that "General Electric's carbon gas energy production units hold the world record for efficiency in energy production, which helps reduce the carbon footprint of the energy production system in Iraq, as well as digital technological solutions that increase the efficiency of the system, including also supporting the transportation and distribution sector throughout Iraq." .
