The ministry stated in a statement received by Alsumaria News, “The Ministerial Council for Human Development, headed by Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi, recommended forming a committee to issue controls for granting licenses to recruit foreigners to work in the medical professions and increase the percentage of top students who graduate from technical institutes for admission exclusively to technical universities.”

The increasing number of foreign workers in Iraq poses a challenge after the increase in unemployment among national workers and the exit of large monthly sums of money in hard currency from the country, in addition to the exploitation of financial transfers from foreign workers to create new means of smuggling the dollar by money laundering networks.
