    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Saturday (March 23, 2024), the Basra Governorate Council expressed its complete satisfaction with the governorate’s electrical supply hours, noting that it exceeded 20 hours per day and was better than the previous year, especially in the month of Ramadan.
Council member Hassan Shaddad Al-Faris told Baghdad Al-Youm, “The governorate is currently equipped with electricity more than it was equipped with last year, as the supply exceeds twenty hours a day in most areas.”
He revealed "a trend to create projects in the electricity sector from the governorate's budget to support the electricity sector in Basra."
Al-Fares continued, “The governorate supported transportation, distribution, and production projects in previous years, and because of the particularly hot climate, it enjoys federal support in terms of equipment, and this is the entitlement of the Basra citizen.”
