The Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance launched funding for salaries for civilian employees of the Kurdistan Region, entitlements for the disabled in the directorates of the Social Protection Network, Welfare and Social Development, salaries of civilian and military retirees, entitlements for martyrs and Anfal affairs, contracts, and entitlements for the region’s departments, as part of the financial allocations for the month of March 2024.

[/ltr]The Ministry stated in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News that, based on the directives of the Prime Minister and the approval of the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, and based on what was stated in the letter of the Federal Court, the Accounting Department launched salary funds for the Kurdistan Region’s civilian employees and the entitlements of the disabled in the directorates of the Social Protection Network, Welfare and Social Development. The salaries of civilian and military retirees, entitlements for the affairs of martyrs and Anfal, contracts, and entitlements of the region’s departments, are within the financial allocations for the month of March 2024.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The Ministry indicated that it had informed the Federal Court and the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau of the launch of funding for the salaries of beneficiaries in the region for the month of March, because the mechanism for completing the localization of their salaries requires an additional period of time.The Ministry also reiterated that the Kurdistan Regional Government bears legal responsibility for the validity and accuracy of the information and data submitted to the regulatory and legal authorities and bodies.
