The Council said in a statement, “Based on Article 58 of the Constitution, the Presidency of the House of Representatives decided to extend the first legislative term for the third legislative year, the fifth electoral cycle.”
The statement revealed that the extension period is “30 days.”
The House of Representatives announced the adjournment of its session held on Thursday, and the Council did not set a new date for its next session.
