A leader in the framework: There is no need for early elections...the “legislative” elections will take place at the end of 2025

The leader of the “coordination framework,” Hassan Fadaam, said that he does not see any justification for going toward early elections in light of the governmental and political stability and success provided by the Sudanese government, indicating that they will take place at the end of the year 2025, while he denied the existence of an agreement to amend the law yet.
Fadam confirmed in a statement to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that “the next parliamentary elections will take place at the end of the year 2025, approximately two months before the end of the term of the House of Representatives, and we currently see no justification for going towards any early elections in light of the governmental and political stability and success provided by the Sudanese government.” “Especially in the services file.”
Fadam added: “There is no intention to go for early elections, and this matter was not raised in any way during the meetings of the State Administration Coalition or even the meetings of the coordination framework.”
He described this file as “agreed upon,” but at the same time he stressed that there is no agreement yet on amending the current election law, including the issue of adding a clause that prevents the nomination of holders of senior positions in the state, including the prime minister, ministers, and others, for parliamentary elections.
He considered that Al-Sudani is different from his predecessor, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, because the former “owns a party (the Euphrates Movement), has a political project, and is working to run in the upcoming elections, but so far the issue of his participation within the coordination framework forces has not been resolved, whether he is with part of those forces or in a form.” Individually, but what is certain is that the coordination framework will be its political reference, like the rest of the parties that entered the elections individually and then returned to the framework as a collective tent for the Shiite political parties,” he said.
