Al-Sudani: The government is serious about establishing a constructive and fruitful partnership

Yesterday, Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stated the importance of continuing cooperation between Iraq and United Nations agencies, while reaffirming the government’s seriousness in establishing a constructive and fruitful partnership that will reflect positively on the level of service provision.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated that, upon receiving the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, Al-Sudani discussed the relationship between Iraq and the United Nations, and the most prominent files and programs in which the United Nations works to support Iraq and in various fields.
The Prime Minister said: Iraq has completed many of the requirements for transformation and the completion of its constitutional institutions, which was documented by recent international reports, pointing to the importance of continuing cooperation between Iraq and the United Nations agencies operating in Iraq, with their various activities.
During its hosting, last night, Saturday, of the meeting of leaders of the coordination framework in the presence of the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, the meeting discussed a number of national issues and general conditions, the progress of implementation of the government program, and the progress made in enhancing aspects of joint action between the federal government and the region, in addition to examining Completing arrangements to resolve all joint administrative and technical issues.
Al-Sudani stressed the government's seriousness in working to establish a constructive and fruitful partnership, which will reflect positively on the level of providing services to all Iraqis in all parts of the country, as well as promoting comprehensive development and implementing the goals of the government program, to meet the aspirations of citizens, and consolidate the achieved security and stability.
For their part, the attendees appreciated the steps taken towards resolving the common issues between the federal government and the region, which translates into the sustainability of living and economic stability factors for the citizens of the region’s governorates, in addition to supporting the government’s steps in building infrastructure and achieving economic reform, and emphasizing the preservation of public money.
