    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed today, Wednesday, Iraq's clear position as a government on expanding the economic partnership with the Islamic Republic.
    Al-Sudani said during a joint press conference with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, followed by Al-Maalouma Agency, that "the joint economic file is an important gateway to achieving the aspirations of the peoples of the two neighboring countries," noting that "the many projects were discussed, including the development road and the land road."
    He added, "The discussions emphasized strengthening transportation lines and logistical connectivity, and we have made significant progress on the Basra-Shalamcheh line."
    Al-Sudani pointed to "focusing on the border industrial zones project in Wasit, Maysan and Basra." End/25
