Today, Monday, Representative Rafiq Al-Salhi called for the adoption of a tripartite proposal regarding the path to development in Iraq.

Al-Salhi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The development road is a strategic development project that adopts a road map consisting of five main goals, the most prominent of which is creating a path for transporting goods from the ports of Basra to Europe, passing through Turkey, which means that it will lead to a qualitative shift in the international road map.”
He added, "The current path will lead to the demolition of residential facilities, structures, and homes in significant numbers in Basra and other areas, pointing to the necessity of reconsidering its path according to a vision that contributes to creating alternatives that do not lead to the demolition of homes or facilities, with the possibility of developing it in some axes because it is a major development project."
He pointed out that "the project is important and re-examining its path is an option that has humanitarian dimensions. It also helps in overcoming any complications on the ground and prevents the demolition of civilian homes."
The development road is one of the strategic projects in Iraq, the first stages of which will begin in 2025 within routes extending from the ports of Basra. Ended 25 February
