[rtl]Crude oil is the most traded product in the world. It is used to manufacture many products, including gasoline, heating fuel, and plastics. Global crude oil trade reached $1.45 trillion in 2022, with exports growing by 46.1% between 2021 and 2022.[/rtl]
[rtl]Saudi Arabia topped the throne of annual oil exports, during the years from 2020 to 2022, as it exports 16.2% of the world’s crude oil. The United States is also a large exporter, representing 8.16% of exports in 2022.[/rtl]
[rtl]The world's top 10 oil exporting countries together represent nearly three-quarters of global oil exports in 2022, according to the US Energy Information Administration.[/rtl]

    [rtl]1. Saudi Arabia[/rtl]

    [size]
[rtl]The Middle East oil powerhouse was the world's largest oil exporter in 2022 with $236 billion in oil exports. This represents 16.2% of global oil exports.[/rtl]
[rtl]According to the US Energy Information Administration, Saudi Arabia produced 12.44 million barrels of oil per day in 2022. It owns approximately 13% of global oil reserves.[/rtl]
    [/size]

    [rtl]2. Russia[/rtl]

    [size]
[rtl]Russia ranks second, representing 9.14% of global exports in 2022, with a value of $133 billion.[/rtl]
[rtl]Production reached an annual average of 10.13 million barrels per day, produced by major names such as Rosneft, Surgutneftegas, and Gazprom. This represents 10% of global oil production.[/rtl]
[rtl]The European market was heavily dependent on Russian oil exports until Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, which saw the world move away from importing Russian oil after sanctions were imposed on the country.[/rtl]
    [/size]

    [rtl]3. Canada[/rtl]

    [size]
[rtl]Canada is the world's third largest oil exporter, exporting $123 billion worth of oil in 2022. This represents 8.48% of the world's total oil exports.[/rtl]
[rtl]The country's known oil reserves amount to 168 billion barrels, the fourth largest in the world. The bulk of these reserves are located in the oil sands of Alberta.[/rtl]
[rtl]As is often the case, the Canadian oil industry is closely linked to the American economy. In 2022, 95.4% of Canadian oil exports went to the United States.[/rtl]
    [/size]

    [rtl]4. United States[/rtl]

    [size]
[rtl]The United States exported $118 billion worth of oil in 2022, accounting for 8.16% of global exports.[/rtl]
[rtl]The country increased its oil production significantly between 2011 and 2020. In 2022, the United States produced 20.30 million barrels of oil per day, about 21% of the global total, making it the world's largest oil producer.[/rtl]
    [/size]

    [rtl]5. Iraq[/rtl]

    [size]
[rtl]Iraq is the second largest exporter of crude oil from the Middle East, with revenues amounting to $111 billion. This translates to 7.62% of total oil exports in 2022.[/rtl]
[rtl]Iraq has the fifth largest oil reserves in the world, but according to the US Energy Information Agency, the majority of these reserves have already been exploited or are being developed. Iraq also faces the challenge of over-reliance on oil revenues, which accounted for an estimated 95% of government revenues in 2022.[/rtl]
    [/size]

    [rtl]6. Emirates[/rtl]

    [size]
[rtl]The UAE exported $105 billion worth of oil in 2022. This represents 7.24% of global oil exports.[/rtl]

[rtl]It is estimated that the UAE possesses the sixth largest oil reserves in the world, totaling about 100 billion barrels. The country's economy is less dependent on oil than it used to be, although oil and gas production still accounts for a good share of the country's GDP.[/rtl]
    [/size]

    [rtl]7. Kuwait[/rtl]

    [size]

    [/size]

    [rtl]9. Nigeria[/rtl]

    [size]
[rtl]Nigeria exported $52.1 billion worth of oil, or 3.59% of the global total.[/rtl]

    [/size]

    [rtl]10. Kazakhstan[/rtl]

    [size]
