[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Today, the capital, Baghdad, hosted the work of the seventh international conference of the Union of Arab Jurists, which is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, under the slogan (Towards a renaissance Arab human rights strategy to confront national security challenges), with Arab participation.
The President of the Union of Iraqi Jurists met with the Assistant Secretary-General of the Union. Arab jurists / Dr. Muhammad Noman Al-Daoudi / speech at the conference / in which he welcomed the Arab guests, stressing that “the conference is being held under sensitive and delicate circumstances, especially in light of the continuing Zionist aggression against our people in Palestine (Gaza), which resulted in the displacement of more than one and a half million residents of Gaza, which prompted the UN Security Council to issue a resolution to stop the fighting.”
Al-Daoudi added, "This puts it upon us, as jurists, to document the crimes committed by the Zionist aggression against our Arab people in Gaza."
He pointed out, "Our Iraq has overcome many crises and is proceeding to play its important geopolitical role, in addition to fighting corruption and drugs, and it is worth bearing." “The responsibilities entrusted to him, including hosting this conference, and we have every confidence and hope that the headquarters of the Union of Arab Jurists will return to Baghdad after more than thirty years.”
For his part, Bashir Al-Khandoush from Tunisia affirmed in his speech on behalf of the President of the Union of Arab Jurists, Shabib Al-Maliki, “that The conference is being held in extremely delicate circumstances, as the Zionist enemy is committing the most heinous massacres against the Palestinian people and preventing them from obtaining their legitimate rights represented by the establishment of their state with its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif.”
Ali Damour, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Jurists, said: We thank this authentic country, Iraq, for holding this conference, expressing I hope that everyone will vote for the return of the headquarters of the Union of Arab Jurists in Baghdad after a long absence./End H[/rtl]
