Today, Wednesday, the Trade Bank of Iraq announced its participation in the process of localizing the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees.
The bank said in a statement, “In compliance with the decisions of the Federal Supreme Court and based on the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani regarding the bank’s participation in the process of localizing the salaries of employees of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, a specialized delegation from the bank, headed by the director of the Erbil branch, met with a specialized delegation from the regional government.” In Erbil Governorate, the mechanism for localizing the salaries of the region’s employees in the bank was discussed. During the meeting, the requirements for the process of opening accounts, issuing cards, and deploying ATMs throughout the region were discussed to cover the cash withdrawal process for employees.
The bank delegation explained to the corresponding delegation, “The process of localizing the salaries of employees in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq represents the utmost importance to Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and he is following it directly and personally because of the concern this matter represents for our people in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.”
In conclusion, the delegation of the Iraqi Trade Bank expressed its full readiness to provide salary localization services and issue electronic cards to government sector employees in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and that the bank is waiting for the regional government to send lists of the names of employees whose salaries will be localized to it, attached to the supporting documents, so that the implementation of the salary localization process can begin and proceed. “.
