The Ministry of Planning revealed that it has taken a series of measures to reduce poverty and unemployment rates in Iraq, indicating that government policies have led to a decline in poverty rates to 21.5% according to a survey conducted in the second half of this year. While it expected a decline in unemployment rates due to the provision of thousands of job opportunities in the public and private sectors, it confirmed the imminent launch of the five-year plan after its approval by the Council of Ministers, which will address various development and service sectors, especially health, education, housing and raising income levels.
