Today, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, signed an order to appoint all lecturers in the Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Regional Government, on a contract basis.[/size]
[size=45]Under Decree No. (4142), the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, signed an order appointing all lecturers in the Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research on a contract basis.[/size]
[size=45]The decree stated: “Based on the prominent role that lecturers play in the continuity of the education and higher education process, we have taken this decision.”[/size]
[size=45]The first point of the decree states: “The appointment of all lecturers in the Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research on a contract basis, in accordance with Financial Instructions No. (10) of 2019.”[/size]
[size=45]The second point of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani’s decree stated: “Assigning the Ministries of Education and Higher Education to audit the lists of names of lecturers and implement the procedures for their appointment.”[/size]
[size=45]On Sunday, August 26, 2024, Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a group of representatives of teaching staff in the Kurdistan Region to listen to their demands.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, Masrour Barzani decided to transfer all 38,000 lecturers to contracts at the expense of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s local revenues.[/size]
