Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Strategic Planning Committee, MP Mohammed Al-Baldawi, announced on Sunday the completion of a number of legal interrogation files within the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
Al-Baldawi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The parliamentary committees work like a beehive to follow up on the work of the ministries and official bodies, each according to its specialization, and have recorded failures and positives in their work."
He added, "The committees completed some of the legal interrogation procedures, but the House of Representatives presidency withdrew part of the interrogator's authority despite his completion of the interrogation conditions by referring the interrogation issue to a committee formed by the House presidency."
He continued, "The suspension of the interrogations is due to the absence of a true Speaker of the House of Representatives," stressing that "the current legislative session will activate the interrogations of officials under the dome of Parliament." End / 25m
