Baghdad hosts today the quadripartite meeting of the {Development Path}

Day after day, the dream is getting closer to being realized, and the dream here is the "development road", a road that connects the world through Iraq, a road that will contribute to a major economic renaissance for the country, and despite some betting on its failure, what has been achieved on the ground so far has silenced those seeking to disrupt the work and cast doubt on everything accomplished by the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, whose success has been proven by the numbers. Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis al-Saadawi confirmed to "Al-Sabah", "the completion of preparations for the second meeting of the Quadripartite Ministerial Committee on the Development Road Project, which will be held in the capital, Baghdad, today, Thursday." According to al-Saadawi, it is scheduled that "the meeting will discuss the outcomes of the technical committees, meetings and previous meetings, to be crystallized on the ground, after we completed the initial design phase for the railway, topographic surveys and soil investigations, and we are about to complete the designs for the expressway." He added that "the ministry is now reviewing the designs, in preparation for entering into the detailed designs, and starting to implement the project during the coming year," indicating that "all parties within the committee are enthusiastic about the project, and have provided all forms of support for the Iraqi project that will serve the countries of the region and the world." Today's meeting will include Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi and his counterparts in Turkey, Qatar and the Emirates. The minister continued, "We hope that the Development Road Project will contribute to stimulating economic growth, enhancing regional and international cooperation, and achieving economic integration for the countries of the region," indicating that (the project) will work to achieve regional economic prosperity by increasing international trade and facilitating the movement of goods.
For his part, the Prime Minister's Advisor for Transport Affairs, Nasser Al-Asadi, told Al-Sabah: "The importance of today's meeting lies in the fact that it will discuss and approve the technical feasibility study and governance for managing the project."
Al-Asadi added that "a ministerial statement will be issued after the end of the meeting, which will clarify the points that were agreed upon, and the special procedures during the project implementation period."
